It’s Never Too Late To Change Your Life

It’s never too late to change your life regardless of your age or circumstances. When you have a very deep desire to do this, nothing will stand in your way.   It's Never Too Late To Change Your Life

There are so many options available to all of us once we determine specifically what we desire. This one decision opens up a wealth of new ideas and opportunities for us, to which otherwise we would have been oblivious.

“The time for action is now. It’s never too late to do something.”

— Antoine de Saint-Exupery —

Self Knowledge Starts With Self Honesty — It’s Never Too Late To Change Your Life

In order to discover our true reason for being here right here and now, we must be honest with ourselves. No excuses. No sugar coating things. Once we accept fully what is happening in our life right at this very moment, we are able to make the progress we desire. On the other hand, when we lie to ourselves, we put the brakes on to any advancement in the areas of our lives in which we seek to improve.

It is so much easier to settle for things and make excuses for why things are not better. We can spend as much time as we want to do that but things will not change, and our inner frustrations and regrets will still exist and sometimes increase.

All of us have so very much to give and contribute to others and the world, that it is just a matter of waking up and stopping playing small. When we were young we had unlimited dreams, and we were just waiting to grow up and make them real. What happened? Well, we bought into a lot of nonsense which we were taught by well-meaning and not so well meanings folks along the way.     It's Never Too Late To Change Your Life

When we allow ourselves to be authentic and vulnerable we open ourselves to a whole new horizon of possibilities. It is not important for us to know the exact possibilities right now, rather we just need to head in that direction by being who we truly are and not pretending to be someone else just to fit in or to avoid rejection.

There is Power in Vulnerability as we are proud to be authentic and live our purpose. We are not afraid to show our true feelings and thoughts as we know that is the only way we can truly contribute to others.

When we are honest with ourselves about our strengths and weaknesses and where we are at this moment in time, we learn so much about ourselves which strengthens and empowers us moving forward.

Making A Decision To Change

Change of any sort starts with a decision. We have the power to make choices and decide what we want to do in life. When we were kids we craved for this power. Now that we have it, how well do we use it?    It's Never Too Late To Change Your Life

Granted many decisions along the way in our lives were made unconsciously to some extent as we bought into a lot of false assumptions put out there by our teachers and want-to-be role models. The educational system really does not do a very good job in preparing young minds to prosper and succeed. The success rates do not need to be as low as they are.

It’s so important for us to tap our Power in the Present Moment, and make decisions Consciously, which will get us headed in the direction we want to go, and not heading off in circles and ending up in places and circumstances which keep us confused and wondering how we got there.

All we need is the Desire to Change and it will happen regardless if we believe it or not right now. The changes will occur over time because we will Know and not believe it is possible. When we know something, it happens. When we believe something, it may or may not happen as our assumptions or beliefs may be wrong.

So let;s make a decision right this moment to change our lives to head in the direction which is most satisfying and produces the results we desire.

It’s Never Too Late To Change Your Life — So What Do You WantIt's Never Too Late To Change Your Life

It doesn’t matter what stage in life we are in, if we want something different we Can Have It. Never let anyone tell you anything different because they will be lying to you regardless if they realize it or now.

Spend some time reflecting and soul-searching on what is most important to you, and then make a decision to head in that direction. Once you take the first small steps on your new path, the people and resources needed to assist you along the way will begin to show up.

It is important to surround yourself with people who are supportive of your new venture; the ones who are there to encourage and assist. You only want to hear what’s possible and not what doesn’t work. You’ll figure out what works and what doesn’t on your own, so you don’t need people telling you what can’t be done.

  1. You are so right. It is never too late to make a change and to turn your life around. I have heard of persons in their 70s and 80s getting their degree. If we can see it and work towards it then we can achieve it is all up to us because it is all in the mind, Great post.

  2. It’s never too late. As long as we have a reasonable amount of health and strength, we can embark on any venture our heart desires. You are so on point in surrounding ourselves with positive, supportive people, who will encourage us in any venture or change we want to bring into our life.

  3. It is a sad fact that many people reach a stage where they believe it is too late to change their life. If only they would have enough belief in themselves these people could gain so much more and enjoy life to the fullest.

I agree with what you say about reflecting and soul searching on what’s most important, and deciding to head in that direction. That is what I call ‘positive thoughts’ and these are the thoughts that lead us to success, whatever our age or circumstances.

Over a number of years I’ve learned, when difficult times arise, to focus on Napoleon Hill’s extremely positive quote “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. I value this quote more than any other as I can quickly turn my mind, or attitude, around by remembering and saying those words quietly to myself. This has a hugely positive effect on my life.

Remember that life is too short to dwell on the negatives, and that keeping focus on the positives is what endows us with the ability to reach a comfortable level of success.

I enjoyed reading your post Joseph. Thank you.

  5. Hi Joseph

I’ve been studying a few of the coaching and vision board gurus and the one thing that is consistent is exactly what you are saying here! If we want something different, we can change it. The key is that we must be proactive. Even before the action (In my experience), we can only make the changes if we are introspective and really test what we believe. If we truly believe we are worthy and capable first, the sky is the limit.

Thank you for sharing such an insightful post.

    Blessings
    Louise
