How to find passion in life is a very individual query. It begins with a willingness to look within ourselves to discover our true purpose in life.
This is different for all of us, as our unique skills and abilities have prepared us to accomplish something very special. Discovering this will unleash the passion and keep up fully engaged in life.
“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. — Isaac Newton —
How to Find Passion in Life Doing What We Love
Finding passion in life is made easier when we are determined to do things that we enjoy and love both in our business and personal lives. Life is too short to settle for less and we deserve to be the best version of ourselves.
Finding purpose in life leads to passion but also enables us to be of service to others in a very special way that is unique to us. No one else in the entire world has our special gifts that we are destined to contribute.
So discovering our purpose in life makes it possible to maximize positive results. When we are drifting through life on a survival basis we are disconnected from our purpose and finding happiness is extremely difficult and challenging. We,may even begin to question what is happiness in life.
My purpose in life is empowering others to trust themselves. I have done this in many ways over the years by doing the work I love to do, and moving through fears and challenges in order to get that work accomplished.
Whether it was working with children and adults in the mental health area or building businesses, I was confronted with my fears and needed to make a conscious choice or whether to proceed or not. This is similar to the fight or flight scenario we may have heard about.
Fortunately, I chose to fight for what I believed in and trusted myself enough to know I would make it through the challenge in front of me. Although this was not always easy, it helped me to develop and grow an inner strength and confidence for which I am very grateful.
So let’s not settle for less and let’s choose to do things that we love to do as well as those that challenge us a bit. Let’s stay fully engaged in life.
How to Find Passion in Life Serving Others
“Happiness… consists in giving, and in serving others.” — Henry Drummond —
We can never go wrong when we help out another person. This does not mean enabling them when they need to take responsibility for their actions. Nobody is a victim but they are either expressing love or asking for love.
True compassion is being able to see the difference and serve others in ways that will benefit them the most, and not dis empower them by agreeing with their illusion of their powerlessness. We serve best when we help others discover their power and live the truth.
By putting our focus on how we can provide the best service in our personal and business lives, we never lack for anything. It’s just one of those universal laws that kick in when we take our attention off of ourselves and focus it on doing an excellent job at whatever we are called upon to do.
Money and loving relationships kick in naturally when we are playing full out with the intention of doing good and providing world-class service. How to find passion in life becomes very simple when we discover our true purpose and get totally engaged in life.
How to Find Passion in Life by Avoiding Distractions
It is extremely important to stay focused and not get distracted. Distractions are the cause of loss of passion and getting stuck in the routine of the survival game.
In today’s world filled with technology of every kind you can imagine, it is so easy to get lost and distracted on a momen-to-moment basis. Phone calls, texts, and social media add to the challenge of staying focused and present.
Scheduling our time and planning our day is extremely important as well as the commitment to keep to that schedule. Responding to emergencies is one thing, but reacting to every interruption is something else.
Having the discipline to stay on task and avoid the many distractions will lead to greater productivity and peace of mind. Getting up early in the morning and completing some tasks prior to the hectic part of the day will help tremendously.
As in anything else we want to accomplish, if our goals are strong enough for which we are passionate about, we will find ways to stay focused and avoid distractions. Just being aware of what the distractions are will allow us to make conscious choices in regard to them rather than automatically reacting.
Creating a Passionate Life
This is not something to put off. Our lives are not dress rehearsals by any means. When we are committed to excellence in all areas of our lives we will naturally discover our passion.
We will naturally do what we were meant to do given our unique skills and abilities. Serving others will be a pleasure because of the inner as well as outer rewards that will show up.
When we live with passion toward our lives we are living authentically. We are being true to ourselves and others. Our thoughts, feelings, and actions are in alignment and we do not experience the stress of inner conflict of feeling one way and acting another.
Also, it becomes very evident that we are responsible for everything in our lives. We clearly see that past thoughts and actions really produced the results we received, and we let go of the blame game. How to find passion in life becomes really simplified when we trust ourselves to be ourselves.
May we all not only discover the passion in our lives, but live with passion on a daily basis.
All the very Best,
Joseph William

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for your inspiring post. It is correct that most people are just dragging their lives through days, living by others’ opinions and judgment rather than finding out and following through with their true passion in life. Life is too short to waste, isn’t it? Serving others is a great way to find your passion and live a meaningful life.
Thanks again,
Grace
Thanks so much for your comments Grace. Yes, serving others is the key that unlocks all the real treasures in life. We cannot serve others better than living with passion and awakening the inner genius within each person we are honored to serve. All the best.
Hi Joseph, I love your thinking behind this. I run several websites, ebay businesses and sometimes your passion can become quite stagnated. Maybe we focus on one task for too long or we become lacklustre by the unproductive results. We must persevere. Switching tact sometimes helps. Sometimes some things take longer to bear fruit than others. I think maybe it is important not to forget about what we’re really passionate about and in whichever way allow the cycle to continue.
Thanks for your thoughts on this Alex. Living with passion is a daily affair regardless of results. All the Best.
