Electromagnetic Energy Healing — What Is It?

Electromagnetic energy healing, a form of healing that ignites our body’s natural healing process, is really the basis of all healing. Our physical symptoms are merely the outward appearance/expression of what is manifesting from the energy level of our being.

Having grown up among many energy healers as a child such as my uncle who was a naturopathic doctor, I continued my study in this area over the years which assisted me greatly in other areas of my life. My intention here is to give you a brief introduction to this area so that you can research further should you so desire.

Electromagnetic Energy Healing — Addressing Both Physical and Mental Health Challenges

Any natural approach to healing addresses the cause rather than the symptoms of any health challenge. When the cause is addressed and healed the condition or similar conditions will not occur again in different forms.

By just addressing symptoms through surgery or medications, the true cause is never revealed or dealt with. At the etheric or energy level, we develop our health challenge and a lot of the time from some sort of emotional trauma.

On the physical side, our emotions can create health challenges by weakening our immune system. Also, when anxious and upset we usually do not make the best health choices. Allopathic and Natural Healing can Work Together

Having attended medical conferences with my uncle when I was young I was exposed to both allopathic and natural practitioners. I learned how they can complement each other.

Conventional medicine is great for emergencies and needed surgeries, while natural methods not only address the cause of disease but also do much to prevent disease. Health and lifestyle go together.

In addition to energy work, there are several other natural modalities such as manipulative and body-based methods, mind-body interventions, and biology-based treatments. Alternative methods include Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Oriental medicine, and Ayurveda.

Again, allopathic medicine treats the disease and not the individual. Alternative or “holistic approaches focus on the connectedness of the person to their environment both externally and internally.

Integrative medicine is the term for combining the treatments and practices of alternative approaches with conventional medicine. The integrative approach has been successful in helping people with many types of health challenges.

Here is some information from the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. It explains some of its foundational principles as well as specific applications. The integrative approach encompasses a broad spectrum of treatment approaches and is now a medical specialty as more and more traditional medical doctors have embraced this healing approach.

Electromagnetic Energy Healing Types

There are various types and applications of this type of alternative healing. For example, electromagnetic therapy is the use of magnets or electromagnets in the healing process. Bioelectromagnetics influences biological processes with electromagnetic fields.

Electrotherapy basically uses electrical or electromagnetic energy in the treatment process. Other types include alternating electric field therapy and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF). Electromagnetic therapy is also known as magnetic healing, magnetic field therapy, magneto biology, and bioelectricity. In fact, traditional medicine makes use of some of this type of energy when using electrical currents to stimulate bone growth or stimulating the heart after cardiac arrest.

Does Electromagnetic Energy Healing Actually Work?

Based on current research there have not been enough studies completed on magnetic field therapy to have any conclusive evidence on its effectiveness from a scientific view. The clinical trials that have been done have shown a clear potential for health challenges such as back pain.

Beyond this, there are many testimonials from people who have been helped by this healing modality. From personal experience, I can say that this type of therapy does work without the inherent risks built into many allopathic procedures and pharmaceutical medications.

Again, I grew up surrounded by both traditional and alternative medical practitioners so I was in the middle of the mix for many years. I then continued to study and apply many alternative techniques and healing modalities.

My main objective with this article is to provide enough information as well as inspiration to research this area of healing further. In my opinion, there is much to be gained.

I remember speaking years ago to a quite accomplished business person in finance as well as the microelectronics industry who was a fellow student in our Aikido training. We were discussing the various types of medicine and therapies available and I asked him what he preferred. Without any hesitation, he said, “Whatever works”.

And that is the key message here. Regardless of our experiences in any type of medicine, it’s important to be open to what works, and be willing to do the necessary due diligence to discover it.

Any type of energy medicine is based on physics, not biochemistry

In this article, I did not get into the more subtle forms of energy such as prana, ki, or chi but suffice it to say that there is a whole web of energy beyond the perception of our physical senses. When there are disturbances within this energy or biofield, health challenges occur.

The human body is made of energy and physics is the study of that energy. Physics has laws that determine the functioning of chemistry and biology. Energy medicine affects the electromagnetic signals in the body, while pharmaceuticals influence the chemical signals.

In my opinion, energy medicine is an efficient and effective form of healing by reestablishing a constant and continuous flow of energy throughout the body. This allows the systems of the body to operate in a harmonious and integrated way as they were naturally meant to function.
