A creative story needs no formal introduction when we are aligned with our Genius Selves. It flows naturally due to who we really are and our innate abilities.
Let’s discuss how to access that part of ourselves that will generate a creative story as the basis or foundation of all that we do. There is no need for struggle when we are guided from within.
“Every human has four endowments – self-awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom… The power to choose, to respond, to change.”
A Creative Story is Generated from Within
All of our power is generated from within ourselves in the present moment. Although we do this mostly unconsciously by default does not mean we cannot learn to stay conscious as we create.
This then allows us to move beyond the victim stage to the creator stage of taking full responsibility for our lives. We are creating anyway regardless if we realize it or not.
When we do this unconsciously we are subject to our limiting perceptions and beliefs being manifested for which we are entirely responsible as well. In other words, it’s time to wake up.
Moving Beyond the Unreal to the Real
“What is Art? It is the response of man’s creative soul to the call of the Real.”
Our creative story is based on the realness within us. It is the essence of our genius that we are destined to express.
The key to its expression is not to do more, but to do less by removing the barriers to the creative genius within ourselves.
This barrier consists of all of our misguided ideas, limiting beliefs, and misperceptions that we project out and experience in our daily lives. We then relinquish our power by playing victim to all that we have projected.
When viewed from above it is much easier to see the insanity of all this. When caught in the day-to-day conflict we are trapped by our own miscreations.
At some point, each of us will decide that we have had enough of this needless pain and struggle. It is only at this point that we will begin to question our underlying beliefs to determine their validity.
Then we begin the process of moving from the unreal to the real essence of who we really are and what our true purpose in life is.
The True Purpose of A Creative Story
A life of purpose can only be lived when we are in touch with our creative centers. Otherwise, we are motivated by outside forces such as money, fame, and glamour.
Although those factors sound and look appealing, soon after they are attained their true lack of worth is quickly revealed. They leave us empty and wanting more.
True satisfaction exists now in the Present Moment. There is no other time than now and never has been.
We generate all of our power and creative energy right here and right now. No past or future events have any influence over this unless we give them our focus and attention which serves to distract us from the task at hand.
Our creative story is revealed to us once we are able to eliminate all distractions and allow it to surface unencumbered.
Although its purpose and content are different for each of us, it is all based on the truth of the perfection of our very existence. This leads us to self-discovery and the manifestation of our destiny.
Our creative story will be original, imaginative, and unique. We are the main character in our story which reveals ways in which we can best express our creativity for the benefit of ourselves, others, and the world.
Living A Creative Story
Each day we live a creative story of our lives. When we live it consciously we are using our innate abilities to fulfill our true purpose in life.
It will help tremendously to first discover that purpose if we don’t already know. Here are a few ideas to help us locate our purpose.
Discovering Our Life Purpose
- Keep in mind that its unfoldment may gradually emerge and although its form may change over time, its content will remain the same
- Contemplate our interests and passions — what makes us fulfilled and happy? What do we enjoy doing? What topics dominate our interest?
- Recognize our Strengths — certain abilities naturally occur while others require time and development. Making a list of the things in which we are competent and enjoy doing helps to clarify our purpose.
- Identifying our Values — what are the core concepts that guide our lives? These influence our thoughts and decisions. List the issues and causes that mean the most.
- Determine Desired Impact — how do we desire to positively impact the world as part of our overall destiny or legacy?
- Check New Things Out — let’s explore and experience new things. New adventures lead us to new opportunities as we are inspired to explore the unknown.
This is time very well spent discovering who we really are and our hidden talents and abilities.
A Creative Story Emerges over Time
Patience and perseverance are two qualities that allow our creative story to emerge from the genius part of ourselves. This cannot be rushed, and even when it appears that nothing is happening, much is going on below the surface.
The full power of our innate creativeness can only be experienced to truly grasp its effect. Intellectual understanding is important, but as our creativity flows we are intimately in touch with the magnificence of our inner being.
As we learn to let go of our resistance, comprising of limiting beliefs and perceptions, we create the space for our intuitive messages and communication to arise. The more that we experience this process, the easier it becomes to make and maintain contact with the source of our creative stories.
Let’s all spend the time and effort necessary to initiate and maintain contact with our Genius Selves so that we allow a creative story to emerge that empowers us to be the persons we were meant to be.
All the very Best,

Excellent article Joseph covering the importance of our creative story. This is a concept I was admittedly ignorant of before reading you article but feel I can benefit from the solid grasp of the subject that you have provided.
Our Creator in turn made us creative beings and this is something I have been aware of for a while and yet am still working to fully understand the consequences of and exactly how that relates to our given vocation.
Discovering a purpose greater than our own needs is one of the most important challenges facing most of us in today’s culture as we are constantly inundated with the nuance of “me” and all that entails and rarely consider how we can serve others.
Thanks, Joseph for your comments and thoughts on this subject. They are very much appreciated.
Two thoughts:
1) The bad habit gains strength.
2) Just like passion, so does virtue take root in a person through habit. The same good thing if you do it repeatedly, it gets acquired and becomes a habit and you end up doing it without constraint, like something natural.
This second thought helped me enormously in my undertakings, like our genius self in action.
Respectfully
Vasile,
I totally agree, Vasile. Persistence and consistency allow us to create productive habits that enhance our lives. All the very best. Joseph
