Gifts To Remember…

We all have so many gifts to remember throughout our lives. Many holidays and special occasions brought us many precious items.Gifts to Remember

But how many of these can we recall right this moment? I am sure there are a few, but most have likely been forgotten. At the same time, there are other gifts with which we were born that we have not only forgotten but have not appreciated.

Gifts to Remember — Forgotten but not Lost

‘We were all born with a certain degree of power. The key to success is discovering this innate power and using it daily to deal with whatever challenges come our way.’

— Les Brown —

Within ourselves, we possess many gifts that merely need to be remembered to provide many opportunities and miracles. We have no idea the power we possess.

Given our fears and doubts, it is good not to fully remember our power until we have developed the ability to use it wisely. It is waiting for us to grow and mature.

These gifts we possess are inherent, so they still exist even when we are not focused on them. It’s like the Laws of the Universe; even when we ignore them we still get their results whether positive or negative.

The key is to increase our awareness and rearrange our focus to perceive what is there and not what we “assume” to be there. Life is truly a great adventure full of many surprises.

Most awaken gradually and learn to use their increased power in meaningful ways based on goals that are heartfelt and beneficial to others. Once our goals or purpose is in place the means are provided to get there.

Clarity of our purpose is essential to receive the means. The means to get stuff done is never the problem.

The main challenge is having a clear picture of what we truly desire to accomplish. With that in place, the increased passion and emotion will provide the means.

Ways to Remember

Now let’s outline a few ways to jog our memory so that we can awaken from this dream that we created.

  • find a quiet spot to relax and contemplate
  • allow all thoughts and emotions to be as they may and just observe the circus
  • affirm that we are not our thoughts and emotions
  • allow our thoughts and emotions to lead us to what is beyond our current perception
  • realize that what we believe causes us to project those thoughts and feelings outward and that is what we perceive
  • look around and observe until we truly realize that all of it is just an image produced by our very own mindset
  • ask, “Who are we beyond this image of ourselves?”
  • allow the resistance to emerge that tells us that this is just the way it is and we don’t have any control over it
  • observe how convinced we are of this
  • take note of the beliefs that emerge from our resistance and outline what they are (these are some of the core beliefs that have surfaced that are the “cause” of what we see)
  • create a list of these beliefs that comprise how we view ourselves, the world, and other folks
  • review the list regularly to determine if we still believe what we believe
  • at some point, we will get the intuitive urge to make some changes by letting go of some of these ideas and then we can see what is left and what things then look like
  • be consistent with this and allow our awareness to increase on a gradual basis

Gifts to Remember — It’s an Inside Job

“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”

— Ralph Waldo Emerson —

The waking dream is just as convincing as our sleep dreams. What we experience we believe. It’s really that simple.

Quantum physics talks about how our world is a holographic image. Science and spirituality meet at the root cause of things.

All we need to do is make room for the truth. Nothing more than that.

We are so convinced that we did not create our reality by buying into the ego which is merely an idea that we are the victim and not the creator of our lives. Right now we desire the illusion more than the reality.

Let’s start with the simple decision to look more deeply into this until we have an “aha” moment or breakthrough. The present moment is more a moment of “Recognition” than it is of creation.

Once we recognize Who we truly Are the creation part takes care of itself. We then operate from our Beingness.

Although this may sound a bit or a lot airy fairy, we just need to look around and ask if we are truly happy with what we see and experience. Of course, we all have a lot of good stuff going on that deserves our gratitude and appreciation, but I am talking here about going deep and removing all of the obstruction to our True Essence and Being.

Let’s Make Room for the Truth

It is only a decision away to free ourselves from the baggage that hinders our full self-expression. Making this decision is an important first step to our freedom.

Letting go of our limiting beliefs, once recognized, allows us to live from our True Source and see things as they are and not as we imagine them to be. This is true freedom.

To make room for the truth it’s vital to recognize the cause of our difficulties, and not play around with the effects. When we focus on effects we have inadvertently reversed the cause-and-effect principle. We lose sight of the true cause.

When we put our faith in our perceptions we block our true vision. We see what we have put in place by our beliefs and think that this perception, or illusion of reality, has the power to control us. At this point, we are playing out the victim role.

When we make room for the truth we replace perception with vision so that we can see things as they are. This requires diligence in observing our thoughts and feelings so that we can change the beliefs that are hindering us.

Gifts to Remember — Our Forgotten Birthright

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”

— Helen Keller —

Gifts to Remember

These gifts have always been in our possession. It is as if we have thought that we were penniless while having thousands of dollars in our coat pocket of which we were unaware.

Since we are so convinced that what we see is reality and that we are the effect of circumstances, no intellectual dance will do the trick to release us from our illusions. They are too embedded in our consciousness.

This must be a heart-based process that awakens our soul by penetrating deep within our core beliefs. We thus awaken our memory of these gifts and remember how very blessed we are.

Let us sing the song of freedom that has always resonated within us. As we bring this distant memory to the surface we now recognize our inherent gifts that are a critical part of our purpose-driven lives.

  1. Hi

What an entertaining article. It is a beautiful read. I particularly like the structure of your article and the way you have incorporated your images. They flow nicely through your content. When you talk about clarity  of your purpose, you have reminded me of what they normally say ” Make sure your goal is clear. You don’t need to know how you are going to accomplish it. As long as its clear the universe will provide the direction and resources”

Thank you and thank you for sharing
